How To Send Link To Get Location

I still remember the first time I got completely lost in a new city no signal, no clue, and no one to ask. That moment made me realize how much we rely on technology not just for directions. Since then, I’ve learned a lot about how location sharing, smart tracking links, and app-based location tracking have quietly become essential tools in everyday life whether you’re meeting friends, running a business campaign, or building an app.

In this article, I’ll walk you through three powerful technologies that might seem simple on the surface, but are changing the way we move, connect, and market: Google Maps Location Sharing, in-app location tracking, and smart tracking links. These tools don’t just make life easier they help keep people safe, improve user experiences, and power smarter marketing decisions.

To track someone’s location, share a link with the person whose location you want to find out. Wait for them to see the message and click on the link.

How To Send Link To Get Location:

You can try the following methods below:

1. Using Iplogger.org

Now that you have the IP address of the individual, you have to copy it and go to iplogger.org using the search bar. The website will open in front of you; here, you will have to select the option “IP Tracker” and a new tab will open.

Click on IP Tracker

Paste the IP address that you copied earlier in the text box present here. There will be an option beside it that says Find IP info. Tap on it. It will take some time to load, and on the next page, you will see all the details about the person’s IP Address, like the internet connection, country, and the city they’re currently in.

2. Share Location via WhatsApp

Step 1: Open a chat with the person and tap the paperclip icon (Android) or plus (+) (iPhone).

Step 2: Tap Location, then choose either “Send your current location” or “Share live location.”

Step 3: Select how long you want to share it—15 minutes, 1 hour, or 8 hours.

Step 4: Tap Send, and they’ll receive a clickable map link right in the chat.

This only works if location access is turned on in the phone’s settings.

3. Using IP location Tracker

To track someone’s location with a tracking link, you’ll need to use the tool called IP Tracker.

It’s a free web tool that lets you shorten the tracking links which you can send to different social media profiles of the user whose location you want to track. This will help you find the user’s IP address and location as soon as he clicks on the link.
